Need Info on romulator. Considering trying it.
I would like some info on the romulator that was mentioned earlier. I have an 89 and would like to start tuning it. I am starting from scratch so all info is appreciated. Please post or email me at jaylisa88@hotmail.com.

I just picked up a Romulator. What info you looking for?
Its running fine on a WinXP machine. Have you ever worked with Tunercats?
If yes --All is the same you can display all your tables, Make changes then upload that current bin to the Romulator and see instant results on the tune of your car.
Now this does not replace your chip. Its a tempoary device for tuning. Yes I have left my romulator in place for over a week. I have the back up chip just in case. I dont get much tuning time with my normal working hours :(
Right now I am currently running 2 laptops. A old 386 for live diacom and then a Tosh 700 celeron with Win XP for romulator.
Trying to get both diacom and romulator to run under Win98.---I can then get away with one laptop.

Thanks for replying. No I havent worked with tuner cats before. The tuning thing will be new to me. I am presently running on a hypertech thermomaster chip and I know there is some time to be had by tuning. I actually have been using the hypertech since the car was unmodified. It runs pretty decent but you know how it is..deep down you always feel there's more in there! I have diacom but am experiencing the no link message since I purchased a newer laptop.
I am interested in discussing what I need to purchase to start burning myself so if you have any tips I sure would appreciate it.
