Smooth sounding highflow mufflers???
Hey guys, I need a new set of mufflers. With my new cam, my exhaust is just a little too loud. I want something thats half as loud as what I have (40 series flowmasters) yet flows almost as well. Do any of the stock mufflers flow well, like the Z06 mufflers? Thanks

My Dynomax Super Turbos are little quieter than most but they come with SS tips and sound nice.

Do they still sound pretty good? I mean, can you hear the exhaust note without the resonance inside the cabin? How much did they cost?

I have dynomax super turbo mufflers on my '90. When I installed them, I had a serious resonance problem. It did sound better (i.e. louder) outside the car. I had one of the tips on each side welded shut and this pretty much solved the resonance problem but now they are about as quiet as stock. Many people on this forum have complained about resonance with higher performance mufflers and there seems to a difference of opinion as to whether you can get a good sound without resonance.

Magnaflows are quiter than Flowmasters and have a nice sounds, plus they look very cool (IMHO :lol: ).
You can buy mufflers specifically for our cars or try to fit universal part numbers.

I do have some resonance but not terrible.

Has anybody used the Dynomax mufflers with their Y-pipe? They claim it solves the resonance problem. I was thinking about picking up a set, but wanted more info.
