L98 Mod
Whats the single most important thing I can do to mod my 85 L98? Cheap, mind you. The thing has a real hard time right now over 2500 rpm (misses like crazy) and I THINK its ignition coil...

Right now it sounds like you need a tune up. You should be able to pull clean to about 4600 before it starts lacking power. I would first make sure to get the car's timing set to 6* BTDC to start off fresh. If you haven't replaced any of the following I would suggest doing so.
Spark Plugs
Plug Wires
Distributor Cap
Distributor Rotor
PCV Valve
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
I would start there. If you still have a miss I would move on to the ignition coil and ignition control module.
