This is the ALDL interface I use... Works great with DataMaster And Craig Moates software... I have mine permanently installed in my car.... Double sided sticky tape mounted to underside of ALDL connector... wires splice with piercer(vampire types) type connectors to ALDL wiring

Re: Cheap eprom burner (gregfloyd)
What software are you using with this?
Is it windows based? I am not familiar with the process but I am considering purchasing one of these and experimenting.
I would appreciate any tips that you offer.
Thanks,
John

Man... if it did/does work on the 29-series... I think it would be the ultimate setup! I think I will call them and ask; heck you never know I guess.
Greg: Any chance of you posting or emailing me a photo of your ALDL in-car setup? I'd like to see just how you managed it, if it's not too much trouble.

Now does this mean you can over-write the 29C256s by just re-programming them, or have you only burned blank chips so far? Even still, great news!

Which notch are you talking about? Will the chip hang down or up basically?

Click for full size. See the notch on the left? That chip also has a white arrow for locating the #1 pin.
