This looks to be a really neat solution to take care of the spaghetti factor by the distributor cap. It has 1-3-5-7 on one side and 2-4-6-8 on the other, rather than the usual 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3 so you don't have to cross wires ( reference this article http://www.corvettefever.com/techarticles/18459/). The only problem is I can't find a source for it anywhere. Does anybody know where I can buy one?
Re: Crossfire Industries distributor cap (FullShred)
can't find the article... says tech article unknown... if you could let me know what section, etc... would like to check it out... have a complete tune-up waiting... thanks vinnie
Re: Crossfire Industries distributor cap (FullShred)
Been using one of these caps for the last 2 years. Bought it from Jegs catalog.
Now that I want to replace can't find it in the new JEGS or Summit catalog.
Sure does clean up the plug wiring. Works fine for me.
I think that YearWood is where they can now be found.
Good Luck

Re: Crossfire Industries distributor cap (FullShred)
...Huh!...
I thought I knew what you guys were talking about...But that dist cap at Yearwoods isn't what I thought...
The one I have in mind looks like it has 4 wires coming out each side 90* to the normal position - they come straight out sideways. I think it was originally a marine dist cap...
Anyone know what I'm talking about??? I never bought one, but it definately got the wires out of the way...
Re: Crossfire Industries distributor cap (oldace84)
just emailed yearwood on the HEI cap and its not for 87's TPI/HEI systems... which is a bummer,,, would be nice to have the wires clean out the sides: Are there any others available out the for 87's HEI systems... Holding out on tune up till I know... If not then will get the MSD cap...thanks vinnie
