ok i have a 85 tpi corvette with a miss so upon diognosing it i checked resistence of the injectors and they all read a consistant 10 ohms but from everything i read doing a search says that the lowest they should be is 12-16ohms with yet another source saying 16-22ohms which is right? should i be concerned at 10ohms? anyone else know what the resistance of theres are in a 85 as i belive the 85 was the c-4 model that came factory with 24# instead of 22# but not shure of this eather agrrr so many facts but not enough answers if they are all facts they should all agree .....help wanted
If they are all reading about the same I would not worry about the exact resistance. It is just a measure of the coil wiring anyway not the function of the injector. It is more of a go / no-go test to see if you have an open or a short. You are in the right ball park. IMHO.
Checking the resistance will not eliminate an injector problem causing a miss. You could have a clogged injector, a bad valve, a sticking valve in either open or closed position. If you are sure the problem is not iginition, then you may have to pull the injectors and send them in for rebuild. Or you can order rebuilt injectors from some of the dealers and then send your old ones in for a core credit.
Problem can also be the plug on the injector. If it does not make a good connection the injector will not fire properly.
I think the factory was 22# on the 85. I am running 21# injectors in my 85 with no problems.
