not to watch, but just running. Had a real blast. done a little low speed autocrossing too. both are awsome in the vette. my question is this, who do you people launch your cars? this thing spins like a witch doctor! i didnt do too well but it was fun anyhow. here's some of my stats. it was an 1/8 mile track too.
best reaction was a .124 most were .3xx tho
best 60 ft time was a 2.066 most were a little higher tho.
best et was a 9.166
best mph was 78.126
can someone please kinda convert these to 1/4 times or close equivalent? i'm new to actually drag racing and really had a problem hooking my car up. oh yea, i raced a ZO6 too. whew he spanked me hard! not only did he hook better than me, he just walked the dog all over me. i'll be back tho, any tips on getting better times would be greatly appreciated. and are these half way decent or do i just plain suck and need to never go back? lol thanks guys :jester

9.166 * 1.54 = 14.115
Anything under .500 is a redlight for reaction time. Does your track actually give you those #s you stated as green lights? I've heard of that before where they just show you the amont over/under .500.
i like how similar our user names are  Yes we Clemson Sports Car Club people all got together and went down to greer. Its a very fun track. The reason the reaction times were that low is because greer isn't a .500 tree, perfect at greer is .000. We're gonna go back soon tho especially after i get my fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator so i can get down in the 7s. :jester
So you had some fun with your Vette at the strip, congrats. It gets even better as well as frustrating as you keep improving and maybe get into some sanctioned competition.
Sorry but I can't help with launching a stick, as has been mentioned, practice will get the job done.
Till a few years ago, Island Dragway in NW NJ also timed off the green instead of the 3rd yellow so too had a .000 perfect light.
to the other clemson vette, i assume that this is brett? you need to change your sn cause someone will definatly get us mixed up. lol yea just for the record tho, he's alot faster than me. his vette is nasty fast and super modded. y dont you tell everyone here what youve done to it. :flag
Perfect light on a at 3 of the 4 tracks I've run at is .000. I've only raced in one place that was .500. The .000 places were sportsman trees and the .500 was a pro tree.
I used to be stationed in Augusta GA and would go to Jackson, SC to the Carolina Dragway. Awesome track and very fast. My bone stock, non ram air, auto Trans Am (all 3700 pounds of it) ran 14.0's with 1.9 60ft times on original 4 yr old GSC's.

I assume he's the guy with the black 88? He told me what he's done to it.
yes vader, that would be me. i think i have thoroughly changed it since i last talked to you since my car is an ongoing experiment. i have the lt-1 intake swap going now and i just changed over to the holley commander engine management. right now i am running out of fuel at 6000 rpms and above so i can't really do anything with it until i get a fuel pump and a pressure regulator for it. the biggest thing holding me back from really really low 12s or possibly 11s are the 2.59 gears which absolutely kill my car since the rpm range is like 4500-6800.
