Default Small mod horsepower gains?

Hi i was wanting to do some cheap mods and was wondering if anyone new how much these would gain Horsepower or Torque on an other wise stock car with the throttle body bypass kit. Appreciate the help!

Open Air lid
K&N or TPIS air filter
De-screened MAF sensor
Thottle Body air-foil
Muffler Eliminators

I've done the K&N, open lid and muffler eliminators. There is no gain in power, actually there is a small loss with the muff elims.

The sound from cutting teh mufflers off was well worth the small loss. My ET's did get better(only by .09), but I think that's mostly due to track and weather conditions.

You're probably looking at about 5 to the wheels out of all of that. I've dyno'd a stock car with a closed air lid and paper filter vs my open lid with K&N. I don't remember exactly but it was less than a 5 horsepower gain from that. Now my car suffered a pretty good loss using his paper and closed lid. So it goes to show that it does some good, just not on a stocker.

The MAF is an interesting topic for debate that I just stay out of. I don't have a MAF and I don't want one.

The Air Foil was dyno proven useless on national T.V. not very long ago so I wouldn't waste the money there either. Removing the mufflers will certainly give you more sound pleasure, even if they don't give you any power. It's probably a wash on them, anything it gains you in top in power you'll probably give up in low end grunt.

Thanks for the info, didnt know if all those combined would help out on each of theres performance. Think if i got some 1.6 ratio roller rockers those mods would show a little extra performance than they would on a stock engine? Was curious on if i should invest in the rockers with new guide plates and harder pushrods!

I would use a K&N filter with a cut airlid and invest in a good cat back exhaust. One member dynoed his corsa for a 17 rwhp gain alone. If anything it will gain some hp but with added sound be alot more fun to drive. Then go on from there when you feel the need for another hp injection.

Here is a link for the descreened MAF showing 4.2HP gain http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=646170

and here is a link showing a 6TQ from a TB coolant bypass http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=530749

That link to a descreened MAF is on a TPI car. It's a completely different MAF so it may or may not have the same effect.

The 1.6 rockers alone will probably give you about 10. Most mods do compliment each other but I still woulddn't ask for much. My friend that I let borrow my K&N with open lid actually had 1.6 rockers at the time, his only real mod.
