Default Quarter mile trouble

Went to the track on the weekend and couldnt get the car into the 12's
I would think with my mods it would be a 12's car. Is my exhaust holding back this car with only a cat back installed?Do you guy's feel even if I upgraded to 2 1/2 inch& high flow Y-pipes make a difference or is my problem else where

Ahhhh yes that make things a little tougher. Have you considered the Accel shorty plugs? I wonder if those would give the clearence you need.

It is a more expensive way, but getting custom headers made is a possibility. Not sure about where you are, but most areas have custom exhaust shops that can make performance headers. I bet that there are headers out there though for your heads. I don't think they are that un-common.

Default Headers

Headers will greatly improve how that car breathes.

Wait'll you take the factory manifolds off and see what puny openings they have :U

Or you can work on your 60' time. I'm guessing if you could knock a few 1/10's of your short time you may be able to squeak a 12 second pass in there. Headers would help for sure!

I am using Hooker 2149's longtubes with 1-3/4 primaries. I had no clearance issues with straight plug heads.
