Default Installing Denny's Nitrous Ready Halfshafts

Took the day off work to get this done and MAYBE head to the track tonight. We'll see. As always there were issues!

On the right halfshaft I had junky u-joints in there and the dissimilar metals caused the ujoint caps to fuse to the spindle. Oh lovely! I had to remove the spindle and halfshaft as one unit and seperate them.

On the left halfshaft one of the strap bolts was seized into place for god only knows why and stripped when I tried to remove it. Lovely! Remove THAT spindle and shaft as one unit. Then I had to drill out the bolt and I'm on my way to the hardware storehopefuly to find another one.

Oh yeah, ran a tap into both spindles while they were out. 5/16"-24

Ok all done. I ended up getting 4 allen head bolts and they worked. I like how these shafts are narrower than the aluminum ones. It makes install a snap. :)

What's the difference in diameter........is it much? I didn't notice anything on the VanSteel halfshafts, but then I wasn't looking either I guess.

I forget the exact difference. I have a post somewhere in the archives where I had pictures and measurements of each one.
