I am new to the forum, I have a 95 vette and used the hypertech reprogramer. I didn't do the programing myself I had a mechanic buddy of mine do it. I have problems with it shifting sometimes. Just wondering if anybody else has used the hypertech reprogramer? I haven't read anything on the forums about them. :troll

Re: 1995 vette with hypertech programer (arcticvette)
On my 94, I did the following with my HP: changed speedometer since new gear was installed, lowered fan setting with 160 degree thermostat, tightened shifts up (auto) and raised top speed limiter.

With the Hypertech, there is a couple things you can do to the tranny settings. The first is changing the shift firmness. The other would be if you're a drag racer, you can adjust the MPH that it shifts in case you are shifting just before the line. You can add MPH to the shift so you can cross the line before shifting. I recommend the firmness setting, both for feel, and for practicality. You are shortening the slip time, and it may be less abusing to the tranny.
As for your shifting problem. I have learned that the 4L60E is EXTREMELY sensitive to fluid level. Either too low or too high. That's the only tip I can offer there. Good luck, hope all goes well!
