Will an upside down cat hurt anything?

Picked my car up from the guy fixing my y-pipe for me and noticed he welded the cat back onto my tailpipe upside down. The side of the cat with all the little holes is on top now, and the solid piece is on the bottom. Is this bad, or will it hurt anything? It's an L98 with the big center cat.

If it has drain holes (for the condensation to drain out), then , of course, they have to be at the low point of the cat.

Not really. Just so long as it isn't backwards as well :jester . I seriously doubt it will have any ill effects.

If it's too close to the ground, it may have trouble landing on it's feet.

The heat shield should be facing up. Those things get pretty hot. Get him to turn it over.

The heat shield looks like it is just pinched on around the sides, could it just be pried apart and flipped over?
