This is a 1986 Vette Coupe. We just had a problem with it running so we repalced the fuel pump runs like a striped butt ape now. I take my wife to a steak dinner and low and behold we get 2 codes (36 & 44) with a service engine soon.

Try clearing the codes and see if they come back. I seem to remember somthing about the MAF burn off (code 36) some times taking a bit to compleate the burn off process. If not check the conections on the MAF. Then basic trouble shooting, have MAF sensor checked. The MAF sensor may be the cause of your lean condition (code 44)
