You should also replace the upper & lower seals along with the keepers.
You should be able to install a set of ProMagnum self-aligning 1.6:1 RR, springs, seals and keepers for under $400-500, including a set of FelPro Permadry gaskets.
The L98 valve covers need to have the drip tabs ground down and the bolt towers reduced in width for clearanced, but I'm not sure about the LT1.
