I want to install new shocks on my '93. I've never done shocks before. Is it pretty straightforward or are there some special tricks I should know about?

Re: Installing shocks (Lichen)
Get the car on jack stands, but you can do one at a time.
Tools needed
13mm socket, 13mm box wrench, 17mm socket, 17mm box, 13/16 socket, and a allen key if you have non fx3 shocks.
Front, remove top bolts first. Then the bottom two bolts. For installation, install bottom bolts, then jack shock up to the top mount and tighten that nut.
Rears, undo the top first as well, then undo the bottom bolt. Install same as front.
Take your time and note condition of bushings (replace shock bushings while you are replacing the shocks). DO some cleanup of the suspension while you are under there as well.
Use a jack under spindles to help support shock while unscrewing from the top first. This helps by taking some of the pressure off the mounting nut. Just be mindful of any zerk (grease fittings) on the ball joints when using the jack. Don't want to damage them.
