Default Got my '93 back - New engine

Thanks to everyone for their input on how to rebuild my 93 LT1. It sounds mean and drives very nice. However does anyone notice a rough idle with their stock chip on an LT4 hotcam? Ed Wright will be programming a chip to match my Hotcam characteristics. The mods are in my signature for the new engine.

Thanks
WK

Can I have the computer relearn the idle? Or reset the minimum air idle or whatever its called? Or do you think the Ed Wright chip will correct everything else?

The only way to make it idle smooth is to increase the idle RPM. Stock idle is like 750, Ed sets it for like 950. That will smooth it a lot, but you will still be able to notice it. Personally I like the lumpy idle.

Welcome to club Hot Cam.

Congrats. What did you do about the headers. Did you leave them black or did you plate or coat them?

Rough Idle is the characteristic of a more agressive cam. ENJOY IT...
Now (knowledgable) people will ask "What kind of cam you have in there?"
