Default Should I change the coil

Hi gang, I'm going to change my plugs and plug wires in the near future and was wondering if I should change the ignition coil too. The car is a '96 with 82,000 miles on it.

Would it hurt anything, no. Do you really need to, no.

I would highly recommend MSD wires, an MSD coil would compliment that nicely if you wanted to do it, but again it really isn't necessary at all.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. As long as it is making nice fat sparks, keep using it.

One thing GM didnt screw up was their ignition coil, it will last a LONG time.

If youre not noticing any missing or skipping, theres probably no need to change it.
