For all you 84-88 owners that have them ratty sunvisors and saggy headliners there's a cheap fix and the guy does a great job. I had my 86 done and the sunvisors come back looking brand new. He also sends enough material to redo your headliner. I paid $45.00. He advertises on Ebay as stichinproducts. His email address is stichinproducts@msn.com. I'm not getting one darned thing for this, just trying to help you people who need his services out a little. He also makes outstanding seatcovers. :flag
Welcome to the forum.
I have babied my weak sunvisor's for two years; however, my wife broke the passenger-side one last week. It truly looks droop-eared.
I just sent Stich In Products an email.
Thanks for the information.
Mark
Take them to a local upholstery shop. Usually can have them back the same day for the same price ~$50. Can do the same with the headliner ~$60
Get some masonite at the local home improvement store. Use the old visors as templates OR cut them down to a custom size. You can use the hardware and pop rivets to put them back together. Then take them to an uphostery shop to be covered. If yours are floppy and sagging like mine were then recovering alone is not the answer.

I don't know how to put this so I don't step on toes, but have to make a comment. I wrote a short blurb on a guy that has a great service completely redoes your sunvisors and make them like new for a great price of $45.00 and also sends you enough QUALITY material to redo your headliner. This will take you an hour or so, simple job. We got answers everywhere from one of you that spent $110.00 for the same service, to another that went down and bought a piece of 4x8 masonite to cut 2 little pieces out of. People You have a great service take advantage of it. :flag

Dude- relax; your input is noted, and appreciated... other people have input, also- hence the purpose of a FORUM........ if you're not getting any kickbacks, shouldn't be an issue for you, huh?
:D Have them recovered in leather! Best idea so far. I like it. :yesnod: Maybe when I get my drivers seat redone I'll have em match up da visors. :jester

No toes stepped on here
Just trying to let people know that a local shop could have them back the same day without shipping. You can go to JoAnn's fabric and buy the headliner material as well for about $5. Good luck getting it to stick though.
3M automotive interior adhesive - $8 for a large aerosol can at WalMart. It has held up full-roof headliners for years in the humid summers we have down here. Not my idea, recommended to me by two different friends who own separate upholstery shops.
Response to question on price of visor reupholstering. I can't say what it cost to have it done, because I paid for a full interior restoration. It cost me about $1500 to have seats renewed & reupholstered, Interior color changed from tan to black, all new carpet w/Dynamat. Plus new custom floor mats. I know that I may have been able to do all this myself for only about $800-1k, but I didn't feel comfortable doing all this myself, so I took it to a reputable shop instead.
