Default sagging suspension or lowered????

any ideas as to what is wrong with this vette suspension was this way when i bought it , it is just too low for where i live and must be fixed, pictures show front/rear tire clearance and frame height tires are not the correct size as of yet but dont think thats it as that would send the tires further into fenders, any ideas as to what is wrong with it or where i should start looking lmk thanks

The front looks too low. The rear looks ok. It's hard to tell if it has a lowering kit on it, since you can't see it without removing the spring.

Usually people just lower the rear and chicken out in front. I bet it's a bad front spring. Z51 cars ride higher BTW from the factory because of gas-charged Bilstein shocks.

The pic in my sig is a lowered '85 Z51.

:iagree: Looks like either a lowered susp. or a cracked/broken spring.

The latter sounds more likely!

If you look at our sigs., you will see they aren't lowered any where near as low as yours. :nonod:

I would take it to a good 'Vette specialist or Chevy Dealer. Especially if it rides funny or makes noise hitting bumps.

That front end really does look too low. Can't tell if it has been lowered, but as said before, most folks just do the rear, not just the front. You'll need to get it up in the air and check the front spring.

That looks like spring delamination, youll have to replace the spring.
