1.7 rr for my LT4 where can i get them????
where can i get a set of 1.7 RR for my LT4? are they a direct bolt on, or do studs or springs need to be changed. i would imagine i wouldn't have to change the springs because i am told that you don't need to for the hot cam. i will be keeping my stock LT4 cam. what kind of power will these give me?

Didn't take me long to find the thread huh?
This is indeed an interesting question that does warrant some discussion. Lets look at what you would need to install them. They must upgrade the rocker studs to 7/8, you must install puhsrod guide plates, you must install hardened pushrods.
After that it depends on what you've already got. If your LT4 is stock you've got some options.
The stock LT4 cam looks to have the following specs:
203/210 .476/.479 115 and I'm fairly confident that this would have been rated with the 1.6 rockers. So with 1.7 rockers the lift would be .506/.509 respectively.
So, we know that the hot cam has .525 lift with 1.6 rockers and the LT4 can handle this just fine. So if it can handle that, it should be able to hanlde the .506/.509 lift that you would get with 1.7 rockers on a stock cam.
The problem you'll run into is if you wanted to run the Hot Cam with 1.7 rockers. This would require .556 lift capability and the stock springs won't handle that. So if you want to run 1.7's with the hot cam you'll need new springs as well.
If you're interested in going with this setup you can get the parts from Brent @ Total Engine Airflow. Call 270-782-6397. Be sure and tell him you're from the forum and that I sent you.
If you have any other questions at all feel free to let me know. I'll hit e-mail notification on this thread.

FYI:
Big Block Chevy rockers are 1.7:1. They use a 7/16 stud rather than the standard 3/8" on the small block. I don't believe they're available as self-aligning.
