The PKE ligt on my dash will not go out. Why? :banghead:

I have the same prob on my 95 but mine flickers and the pke doesn't even work :confused:

Is the PKE working? I had the same symptom and it was an indication that the receiver had crapped out.

No my pke isn't working at all when you say the reciever crapped out do you mean the key fob or the part in the car. Did you fix yours and if so How? Thanks I would really like to know how to fix this .

Unfortunately the key fob is the transmitter. The receiver is buried in the dash, behind the radio/heater controls, and accessible by removing the entire top dash pad. If you're willing to cut through the plastic dash support behind the radio, you can reach it quicker (someone had posted this method a while back), but I replaced mine by doing it the non-destructive, traditional way. If you do decide to remove the dash, be very careful of the numerous plastic tabs and other fastening points which tend to break rather easily if anything other than gentle pressure is applied.

PS the receiver is ~$200 from GM, but I was able to get one off ebay for a lot less.
