Welcome to the Rapidfire discussion. Why do you want the Rapidfires? What information do you have that suggests they are better than another plug? Are you sure Rapidfire's are the best plug for your vette? If so, where did you get your information? I am very curious. (BTW- I use them too, I just want to have the data to support my choice in plugs).

I'am not sure what plugs I want, thats why I'am asking. I don't want platinum plugs so what else is there.
When I do my plugs in my vette I will go with rapidfires because of personal experience.
I have a 67 chevy truck. It had a 283 in it. On dirt it would not spin it's tires. I installed some rapidfires and then it would spin the tires. So it gave it just that little bost it needed. But I could not get my truck to pull a donught.... That 283 blew up and I built a 350 (first engine ever built by me still runs almost 8 years later.). With the 350 and regular AC delco plugs it would spin the tires. I then swapped out the brand new plugs that I bought when I built the engine for the rapids that were in the 283. After that I could easily spin the tires enugh to get that donught.
So from my personal experience I like the rapidfires. Are they the best for the Vette who knows.... Nothing like a yellow 67 dually lighting up the tires during the woodward dream cruise :D :smash:
what are wrong with platinum plugs? .. i dont have them. but i thought they were very good.... what are the prices of rapidfire plugs? around everything else? i have never heard of rapidfire.
Either the AC Delco Rapidfire or NGK will work fine. The thing I've discovered with plugs is, if you're not racing, all you really care about is whether or not the plug will spark. End of story. Some plugs spark better than others, but you are not going to have a problem with either of these two brands.
Now, whether or not you want platinum/iridium/plain copper is based on how long you want the plugs to last, and how much money you're willing to spend. Incidentally, the Rapidfire plugs only have a single platinum electrode, not the dual electrode like the stock plugs for the LT1/4. No danger of pucks falling off in the cylinders.
I chose Rapidfires because of the Hib Halverson review, and because they were readily available for $30-$35 bucks.
Out at the dragstrip last month, I noticed a bunch of guys running Autolite plugs. Then, in a recent GM High Performance magazine in the LT1/LS1 shootout they had, a bunch of the cars were using NGK. So really it's a personal preference.
Does anyone have any experience with the Bosch Platinum 4 plugs? They are suppose to be top of the line - so being the sucker that I am - I purchased them! However, now am not sure whether I should install or not!

Refund them and buy a set of AC Rapidfire's (#14).
The Bosch +4's electrode(s) design is not optimum for the spark plug angle in the L98/LT1/LT4/LS1 heads-- the way the plug presents the electrode and ground strap to the air/fuel charge in the chamber. Standard design plugs (single firing electrode and single L-shaped ground strap) work best in these applications.

Well, you managed to pick the only ones out of the whole lot that are probably going to give you problems. I have heard of so many people having issues with Bosch Plat 4 plugs in Corvettes that it has to be more than just hearsay. The Corvette shop in our town says they make a lot of money off of Bosch, if that helps.
I didn't want to bring up the bosh plugs but I went from autolites to bosh platnums and my car actually got slower...... Not my vette but a nother car at the moment I don't really know what plugs are in my car.
Working at a dealership we sometimes took out bosh plugs to put in AC's. The cars ran smoother afterwards.
