ive a clicking sound under my car, that im fighting against since i bought it..
checked everything, like compression, spark plugs, injectors, bearings, aso, all the ususal clicking stuff..and everything ok..
today, i tested again, and narrowed the problem down to the exhaust
im pretty sure, i´ve no exhaust leaks, and (stock) manifolds are not broken
also, i know i have a different cam in it, not stock, because ive a lope at idle,
and also when i take off its not the strongest, but when rpms comes up to 2000 it starts pulling like a beast...some passengers and stop light competitors knows this :D
can this cam cause clicking noises in the downpipes??

Re: exhaust manifold noises (corvette90)
My vette's exhaust sounds like a John Deere. Is that what you're talking about? I've pulled the entire exhaust off twice, replaced the header gaskets, and have had no improvement.
This is with a stock cam. It's really getting on my nerves. Happens under slight load at 2000-2300 rpms. Perhaps its the AIR system that has a leak. :lurk:
mine goes from idle, and when i rev the enigne i cannot hear it anymore..also i have a very aggressive sound from left and right header area when i accelerate..no knocking or pinging, just aggressive :D
but...when i idle, or under crusing conditions i have the clicking noises...
maybe we must learn to live with them...
