Default Need advice on TPI plenum/runner/manifold assembly.

Guys, I've spent the better part of the day trying to remove (piece by piece) the TPI system from my 1985. I'm attempting to fix a couple of minor water and oil leaks around the manifold.

My question is this: Can the plenum/runners/manifold be reassembled as a unit on the workbench before placing the unit on the engine? Or does it have to be reassembled piece by piece on the car?

It looks like it would be much easier to reassemble the whole thing on the workbench but I'm not sure if this is possible. Any advice?

you need to do it piece by piece...you can't get to some of the manifold bolts when fully assembled..at least on my 89 L-98.. just did this in july...it goes together easier than it came apart...took about 5 hours start to finish
goodluck
