My windshield washer is not working, the wipers go on but they won't squirt. Washer fluid is full. anyone have problems with this in the past? Any info welcomed.
Thanks
Sounds like the washer pump may be shot. Haven't had this go on my Vette, did on my Rustang. Don't know how hard it is to replace on the Vette. My Rustang took about 10 minutes to replace.
:smash:
Can't say for the 86, but on the 91, the pump is on the bottom of the washer tank covered by a rubber boot. I had to remove the PS inner fender and gill plate to get enough room to pull the tank and pump. Might be the pump or connections.
I gotta change my sig :mad , the car is a 94, sorry about that. I will be looking at it tonight to see if I am getting power and that the hoses are connected. Thanks for the responses.
Mine did the same thing. The hoses were fine.. no clogs.. I also got a new washer fluid pump as well. The damn thing still aint squirtin. WTF gives ?? !!! :mad
Check for 12 volts at the pump while someone holds the switch (pink or anything other than black). If good, check ground. Otherwise it's in the switch or the module. If I'm reading the schematic correctly, Terminal F, brown wire at the switch to the module should have battery voltage with the switch depressed. If not, contacts in the switch are probably shot and it needs to be replaced.
