Steering rack question
I had a new steering rack installed on my 1984 Corvette about a month ago, and I noticed this week that the clamps that look like they should fit on the ends of the rubber boots are not installed. They are just spinning freely between the boot and the tires. How critical is it that these be clamped on the rubber boots? Should I have it done immediately (I tried, but without a lift, it is a real bitch), or will it wait until the next oil change?

Even though those are just dust boots, the clamps should be on the ends.
I would take it back and have them do it.
