I'm trying to fine tune my car at this point. I am at or very close to 128 on my BLMs. or Lterm C-counts on datamaster. Now I would like to turn off the int. so the ECM makes no fine adjustements to the air/fuel mixture thus allowing me to further fine tune to a near perfect 128BLM. What do I need to set in tuner cat to do this? I thought it was the int. and lock them at 128????
Re: turner cat, and 730 ecm users quick question (88_vette)
Since no one has responded, I'll give it a whirl. I didn't post up because I have always been able to get good BLMs without any locking (At least in my complete lower and lower half of my upper VE tables with speed density).
However, I think that most people lock the BLM, not the INT. By doing so, you take out coarse adjustments and then see what the fine adjustment trim is. I am not sure as to the code you are using, but there is a set point that if INT changes more than +/- 4, BLM will change 2 (example, not set in stone with hardened figures), etc. So by locking out the BLM from changing, you will be able to see what the INT alone is doing. For the first few passes, you might not want to completely lock them, but narrow the operating range of the BLM from 108-160 to something like 114-148 and keep going like that. That should keep you safe for the first few times. I believe this window of BLM adjustment is in my Constants table in TC. Good luck, -Matt
