Thes bulbs are halogen replacements for the 1156. I believe M/a sells them for $17.95 per pair. I put them in my 92. I can't honestly say that they made much difference. I don't believe heat is a problen, for they light only when you reverse. Would I bother to put them in my 93. No.

I have them and they made a GA-HUGE difference.
Mine lights up in the rear almost as well as my headlights.

I also put them on the cornering lights. That was another huge improvement.

Now they are installed on both the C4 Vettes.

One of the best mods I've made.
