Yesterday, I noticed that the alarm was not arming on my 93 Coupe. The transmitter unlocks the passenger door and pops the hatch. It will not lock and arm or disarm. Any ideas? The transmitter is about 1 month old. Thanks in advance.
It sounds like the system is disabled. Hold the door button down until you hear/see the door locks cycle. This could take a few seconds. To select which door (s) open place the key in the ignition, donot turn on, & press the door button until you have selected the sequence you want. If you have armed the system properly, when you turn the ignition "on" the passive keyless bulb will be illuminated on the lower left corner of the DIC.
Thanks, I will give that a try when I leave work. Don't know how it became disabled...was working fine up till a couple of days ago.
Thanks again!!
Yeah, all you do is hold the door unlock button down for two seconds and the car will cycle. It's good to do when working on the car and you get tired of the doors locking you out all the time. :banghead:
Yeah, stupid me forgot that I turned it off when I was changing my wheels. I need to post a clipboard in the garage so I can make notes of what I am doing to disassemble, so when I am done, I can make sure I put everything back on.
