Thanks, I just thought I would ask,,,, but if I were to swap engines, any engine,,,,, say I find a LS-1 or a LS-6 from a salvage yard or something......

I did a L83 to LT1 swap and it was a major PIA. I will have my LT1 running with in the next week (If all goes well), but you are realy better off just rebuilding what you have unless you get a great deal on a motor like a LS1. A LT1 is a bich of a swap and not cheap if I had to do it all over again I would have just installed a Mini-Ram and built a stroker (probably a 427). I work with electronics for a living so I wired the LT1 harness my-self and integrated it into my existing fuse box, but it was a lot of work. You need to consider things such as all of your assy's may have to change (mine did).

It'd be easier to swap out your current intake and change the cam, than to convert everything over to LS1
