About a week ago I thought I had leaking injectors on the passenger side. I bought new fms 24# injectors from jegs for 219.00 Today I put them on and the passenger side is still acting up. when i turn on the key the 4 injectors are
still wide open any suggestions. last week it was so bad i had raw fuel coming out the tail pipe. I cant start it up now cause the plenum and runners are out getting powered coated. I could really use some advise. Thanks alot
Im really
SOudns like something in your ECM/wiring has shorted out causing the injectors to stick wide open. I suggest you pop off each of the injectors connectors and check ohms to ground. See if they are all about the same, or if one side is much lower. If you have a discrepancy between sides, then you probably have a short somewhere. If all that checks out then I suggest you replace the ECM, it may have taken a turn for the worse. thumbs:
The pass and driver side injectors are powered by their own fuse and the computer grounds each side to fire them in a batch of four. If the pass side are staying open, then the circuit to the computer must be grounded. The splice is at the rear of the intake on the pass side. I have found several shorts as the result of tightening bolts against harnesses and peeling back inslulation, result is the bolt shorting againt the bare wire. :chevy
