Hello I plan on putting muffler eliminators on my lt1, I took them off to see if I like it without mufflers and get a little bit of popping because of loosing alot of back pressure will the muffler eliminators help? Will my 92 ecu learn the a/f ratio and get better with time? I have only put 50 miles on the car withot the mufflers!
Thanks
Kurt

Thanks guys! I think I am going to put a set of power effects on the christmas list from santa to go along with the 396 I am going to put in next month! I love the loader sound but not the poppping :U
I hate to break it to you but any free flowing exhaust is going to pop and crackle when you let off of it. Some are worse than others, but they all do it to an extend. Remove the cats and the problem gets worse.
For what it's worth, I just ordered a pair of Magnaflow "straight pipe" mufflers from Corvette Central. Cost $229. I figure if I don't like them I can toss them without losing much. Interestingly enough, in the catalog they are refered to as "CC's own performance mufflers" but online they are described as Magnaflow, with LT1 tips. One thing I'm certain of is that they're gonna be noisy, but that's the way I like it.
