4+3 OD and clutch use
I am guessing that the clutch should be used on a 4+3 when the driver is pressing the button to engage or disengage the overdrive unit. I understand that once the overdrive is engaged, the computer controls the shifts into and out of overdrive. Is this correct?

You don't have to use the clutch to use your OD....I do however use mine as it avoids the jerk you feel when useing it....Yes you are correct it will go in and out on it's own when need be......

Is it required.... no.
Is it suggesetd..... highly.
By using the clutch you take an enourmous amount of stress off of hte overdrive unit that will prolong its life greatly. :yesnod:
