Puzzled on Code 42.

Puzzled on Code 42.
Hey all. I have an 86 and it is throwing a code 42. I had the timing checked and it is fine. The timing wire is still connected so that is not it. The car is running smooth and there is no back fire or pinging.
Any ideas?

:lurk: i've had this code every since i got my 86. i'm still trying to figure it out :confused: mine only happens at WOT for about 5 seconds, and then it goes back off :rolleyes:

Mine just started doing this and it comes on after about 15 minutes and never goes off. Not too worried I guess, as long as the car is running smooth. Just hate having that bright light showing when it is dark and someone can see it driving next to me. They might think I own a crappy car. :cuss
