Best price source form Hypertech 180 tstat?

Think I'm going to put a 180 in for winter cruising (for those clear, dry, but *cold* days/nights). The Motorad manuafactured ones Hypertech puts their name on seem to flow best of the after market thermostats, so that's the kind I want.

Anyone have a best-price vendor?

If you are going with a 180 why not go with a factory t-stat. That is the factory temp.

For such items I always go to Summit Racing first for price/service...just like in the commercials.

Factory thermo is a 195.

I've been reading alot about these 160, 180 stats... do they honnestly make a difference?
I have the stock 195 degree stat in my car, and I tend to do a lot of highway...so? would it be worth putting in a 160 or 180 stat.

boy oh boy, this topic is so confusing on the forrum. :confused:

I've got an LT1. Factory thermo was a 180 for LT1's. But the Hypertech/Motorad thermo's seem to flow coolant a little better than the OEM type, that's why I want one of those kind.
