Front Bose Amp Removal
I have a 85 and the front speaker appears to have a bad amp. I took the
door panel off and removed the speaker, but it appears that the whole case will have to come out to replace the amp. Is this right and if so how much
work does that involve. It looks like a big time operation.
What all has to removed to get the case out. Looks like everything :confused:

You are right. The whole enclosure must come out.
Dr. Dons will rebuild your old amps for $65 each. He says they are better than the replacements from the catalogs. Of course he is also selling his service.

I was afraid of that. I can do the rebuild myself but I don't think
I want to go to the hassel of stripping out the door unless it's for more
than the amp problem.
I worked on the ribbon for the window and that was enough for me.
