Anyone have a 383 what kind of injectors are you running i had 24# accel and it ran good. I just received a D1 supercharger so i went to 36# injectors and the car has flat spot now. I ordered a high flow fuel pump i need to install over the weekend. I wonder if the ati inline fuel pump will fix the problem with the new injectors. I currently am running only the stock fuel pump. I was told the stock pump does 80lph which is in the tank. The new intank high volume pump only does 140lph. Should i still install the inline pump that comes with the D1. should the flat spot be gone before i install the D1
I bought the Racetronix in-tank system which is 255lph. Hell of a setup. Also am going with 42lb injectors on advice from those who have far more knowledge than I. I am putting together 383 with 10psi Vortech. You probably, if you haven't allready, reprogram your computer. Just reread your post. 36lb's are too big for a NA 383 and are probably part of your problem.
i have a hypertech chip stage II thermo master do i need a different chip maybe i put a gage on the fuel pressure it stays at 40psi
i tryed to get your fuel pump but they said it would not go in my tank so i bought a weired brand punp that will double stock. i plan to use it with the inline ati one.
I am still guessing you will have to reprogram as you are going beyond parameters of stock and probably hypertechs programming. Ski Down It uses 24lbs in his 383 and it works great but he also burns chips and can burn one for you.
1) get rid of the hyper crap chip, get a custom tunning for your blown motor. It is very important that you it tune with the proper fuel curves.
2) you need at least 42s or 50s injector. Dump that FMU.
