Default LT1 Pulley Kit - Both Pulleys?

Im going to install the crank pulley, but I've heard people saying to not install the alternator pulley because it will not charge the system properly. Anyone run into this? Will I also need a different size belt, or is there an adjustment I can make for the different size?

Why won't the Alternator pulley charge the system properly? Although it's a little late now, I just installed both on my Impala, I would like to know if it's a bad thing. As I understand it, and I could be wrong, the smaller Alternator pully is to help by spinning the alternator faster to compensate for the smaller ballancer pully. I was tempted to run the stock pully to free up even more ponies, but was afraid it would not charge the system enough.

I guess if you wanted to keep the stock pulley you could get 4,10s or higher to get the rev's up. :D

Depends on model year vette. Some came with lame alternators whereas others are more than sufficient. Others more knowledgeable of these may chime in in time.
