I have this cheap plastic pump from Advance Auto http://partsqueen.zoovy.com/product/MTY7240 but it sucks alot of air and pisses me off. Where to buy and who makes a quality hand pump? I don't really want the "big syringe" type gear oil pump.
:D
If you're looking for something to just suck it out, Sears use to sell a drill attachment. Otherwise visit you local marine supply store. There's a ton of stuff for getting fluids out of boat engines.
Hi Merrick,
I use a Jabsco brass hand pump to syphon the oil through the dipstick
hole to change the oil in boat (350 ci mercruiser). It also comes with the
thin wall tube that goes down into the dipstick hole. Make sure you get the
one with that tube. There are other styles, such as those that srew on to the top of the dipstick inlet.(on marine engines this option is available) This pump works like a charm and can be used for all heavy liquids or even gasoline. It is a high quality pump. To see what the pumps look like go to http://www.jabsco.com , marine , general purpose pumps, oil change pumps, then
to products 34060-0130 and 98024-000- to view what they have. They don't show the syphon tube option but it is available at marinas, etc. good luck
