Default Yet, another valve cover question(s)

Okay. I looked at the Proform valve covers. They are nice, indeed, and affordable. However, I've read that they can be a pain to install. I wouldn't mind keeping my stock valve covers and sending them out to be powdercoated. The problem is, my next mod is probably going to be 1.6 RR's. Won't I have a problem with clearance if I kept my stock covers? Or is this fixable by using two valve cover gaskets, instead of one, on each side?

Decisions, decisions, decisions

When you pull your valve covers grind down the drip tabs and narrow the bolt bowers and they should just drop right over a set of ProMagnum 1.6:1 RRs.

As said before, you have to remove or grind down (I used a cutting wheel on my dremel) the drip tangs. My Cranes fit right in there with no extra gaskets. Just make sure you have the right springs when you go to 1.6s.
