Need suggestions on roller rockers
I will be doing some intake work polishing etc.. I plain to take off old valve covers thought about putting on some RR's need suggestions on good ones and what I need to do this....
The Comp. Cams 1.6:1 ProMagnum RRs have the lowest rotating mass and best strength around and will fit under the valve covers after you trim the drip tabs and narrow the bolt towers a little.
You can either go with the self-aligning ProMagnums, for simplicity or use non self-aligning along with hardened pushrods and guide plates.
In either case I would install new upper & lower valve seals, toss the tin oil shedders, install Ti retainers and 10deg locks along with stronger springs shimmed to around 100lbs seat pressure. If you go with the non self-aligning RRs, you might as well install 7/16" studs and get the RRs to match. Since I plan to get my L98 reving into the 6k RPM range I chose this latter path to assure valve train stability.
You can get the seals from your local Chevy dealer and all the other stuff directly from Comp Cams.

Wait, I think I gotcha, are you talking about the intake/exhaust seals and valve stem seals?
