ATI supercharged 86 vette with Summit trick flow heads 24 lbs injectors msd boost timing master 6al custom programed chip installed 2 years ago with 3500 miles driven since addition. Car recently developed rough running condition after running the car hard.Changed the rotor cap, rotor plugs, and wires, no change. Observation, 3 plugs on the passenger side closest to the firewall show signs of too much fuel or unburnt fuel during the change of the plugs. The remainder of the plugs show normal ware. Oil pressures fine, no visible leaks, no engine codes thrown, no engine noise. Could it be a bad O2 sensor that has not thrown a code yet? Any help appreciated. Thank you Vetefast! :nonod: :nonod: :nonod: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Re: Rough running ATI supercharged 86 Vette (vvv90)
damn...so you said these problems started after running it hard? how hard did you run it and for how long etc? I hope nothing internal is bent like a push rod or nothing?
Re: Rough running ATI supercharged 86 Vette (lead foot 85 vet)
Quite Untrue! Lifted the ring lands on #7, melted the top edge of #5, and really rough area on the edge of #1. All on one pass. Previous run, car ran very low 11 at 131 (horrible 60'). That run, car ran high 12 at 126 or so. This was an old combo when I ran a P-600B, 11.2:1 compression, stock pistons, and stock ECM with custom chip.
It can be done.
If you're not breakin' parts, you aren't pushin hard enough (until the clutch comes out of the car).
