My driver's seat is a 6-way power seat. It will move forward and backward and up & down but it won't tilt. Do I need to replace a motor or the seat track (stripped gears)?
How difficult is it to replace either one of these items? Can a person with only moderate mechanical skill do this?

Re: Question About 6-Way Power Seat (Mr Mojo)
I don't think any of the later C4 seats came with power tilt. Both my '93 and '95 have a tab located on the edge that you pull to tilt.
I believe 1990 and earlier have power tilt, but 1991 and up they don't.
I think he is talking about the tilt function of the base, not the tilt of the seat back itself. If you hold the power switch a certain way it adjusts either the front up or down by itself or the rear up and down by itself.

Gotcha, in that case, are you "twisting" the switch? That's how it works on mine? Although I must say I wish the back part of teh lower seat would go lower.
