Gutted Cat
I gutted my main Cat tonight,,,,, what a mess,,, what is that stuff asbestos..... Anyways, what kinds of performance can I expect from doing this? :smash:

I got a "test pipe" and swapped it out. The only thing I noticed was it sounds better. I haven't done any chip tuning on it yet, maybe then.
Before I do too much more, I was thinking of going to get her dyno'd over at Fuel Injection Specialties. Been over there? They have been advertising like crazy lately. Gonna give em a try.

I think you'll see a pretty good gain. The LT1 cars , from what I've read don't see much difference, but on the L98s the gutted cats yield a nice gain :yesnod:
