When to put fuel stabilizer in??
Car has been sitting a little over a month already ... I didn't intend on it taking this long to install headers, but my health, going out ot fown and all kinds of things keep putting it off. So, should I put fuel stabilizer in? I don't see it being completed for about 3-4 more weeks :(. I have mono, so I can't work on it much - have to be careful with my spleen :leaving:

:cheers: You will probably fine, but the stuff is cheap, so use it and ease your "peace of mind"

Are you seriously joking me? My vette has sat for nearly 9 months! (I know it's set without being STARTED for at least 2 months.) You'll be FINE Curtis. Good luck with the mono too. :cheers:

Haha, i was just checking :). I know that you guys up north put them away for winter and use it, right?

I still start and run it at least once a month (for the 6 months of Winter we get), and drive it on clear dry days. I also charge the battery once a month, for at least 8 hours.

I put mine in whenever I bed the car for the winter. For at least three months around here...

Gasoline is designed to be used within 6 weeks of refining. After that, it starts to degrade. If your gas is already "old", stabilizer may not help. Best to put in stabilizer when filling up.
