As many of you may, or may not know, we currently build high performance differentials for the C5 Corvette for both street and track use w/ outstanding durability.
We have also performed quite a few gear upgrades for local C4 Corvette owners around our area as well with very good success. We've recently received a few emails asking about DTE offering this service to C4 owners as well, so we thought we would come to this board to get your thoughts.
If there is enough interest, we would be glad to take this up and start providing C4 Corvette owners with purpose built, high performance rear differentials for the street and track use that can be installed by the DIY'r or turn-key installations here at DTE.
Let us know your thoughts and we would be glad to answer anyone's questions. :)
Have a great week gents and happy motoring! :chevy :auto:
Regards and God Bless!

Interested here in a DIY kit, as DynoTech is too far away for me to pop over and have it done. :D I have been looking at upgrading my 2.59's to 3.73 or 3.54. I see that with the C5 kits, you reprogram the chip. Since I have a 93, it is cable driven for the speedo. Would you have the correct speedo gear included?

It isn't cable driven, but there are gears in your tranny for the VSS. At some point (I forget when) in C4 ECMs you can flash the ECM to understand new gearing.
Whitvette-
Our differentials would include the necessary speedometer drive gearing required for speedo accuracy.
The used C4 differential market is very dry and cores are difficult/expensive to find and purchase, so the DIY offer would apply to those who would send their unit to us for upgrading and then we would send that same completed unit back to you, ready to bolt in.
The C5 units are currently much easier to obtain and we typically build someone a unit and then they send their core back as an exchange. We wish we could do it this way for the Dana diffs., but they are few and far between...especially the Dana 44's.

Ah...thought it was, since it requires the speedo gear. Late 1993 changed to the flash style. Not many 93's were built with the 94 computer, but they are out there. :D Unfortunately, mine wasn't one of them...would make things easier then.
Stinks about the non-availability of the Danas. I have a Dana 36 in mine. Guess I will have to look at getting one from Ecklers or find a shop here in South Florida that can do it.
Thanks!
I could be interested. I had the same conversation with Pat Ikerd in S. Indiana last year. I am north of Muncie and my brother lives in Ft. Wayne so a trip up wouldn't be a big deal. I'm interested in 3.54's to replace my 2.59's. Maybe I could get the C4 guinea pig discount ?
