LT1 Gear

Hi guys,

I am experiencing something quite strange with my 92 LT1.
At about 60-70 MPH if I give a little bit of gas the engine seems to run up (but I have no indication on the RPM showing this, I can tell it because of the engine sound) and it seems to be on the edge of stalling with a rattlinglike noise, the speed then increase barely noticeable. In order to stop that I need to give more gas...
I suspect the problem to come from the gear...
I am right and what do I need to do? :confused:

Is this an automatic tranny? Sounds like it could be torque converter related. But I am no expert in that area. Just a guess.
