C5 Brake Conversion Question
I am looking at upgrading my front brakes to the C5 calipers. I will be replacing the hoses with stainless steel hoses. Do I need to replace the front ones with C5 hoses or C4 hoses? Anything else I should be aware of when doing this conversion? Thanks in advance.

Would you also need to get the hoses for the J55 big brake option? Seems like I read someone here on the forum had the smaller twelve inch brakes and the stock hose length would not reach without binding. With your model year, it may not even be an issue.

Use C4 hoses. Get new hose flat gasket/washers from Chris at Superior.
I see you have already upraded to Z06 wheels.
Wheel/tire upgrade is the BIGGEST expense involved in doing the C5 brake upgrade.
GET ADAPTERS FROM "EDSALINAS" . . .he is the adapter bracket MAN !!!!
You'll find his adapters out on eBay.

Has anyone used the Ligenfelter Baer PBR 14" setup on their Vettes? Any pros-cons compared to the C5 setup?

Hmmm for that proce you could get all 4 wheels with brembos. Just buy the parts your self. Get the calipers from porsche.
You could also get Alcon or AP, but we're talking big $$$ now.
A set of 2 Alcon B type four piston calipers complete with rotors and all hardware is only $1500 for a mustang aplication though.
But I belive that brembos up front and the stock J55 in the rear is more than enough. :thumbs:
