When I have the low beams on with the driving/fog light on the hi beam indicator illuminate a little, which shouldn't be. The low beam from time to time doesn't illuminate and I had to turn the light on/off a few times for it to work. When I switch to hi beam the left Hi beam doesn't turn on, the right one works fine and the hi beam indicator is on brightly. I checked the grounding on both sides, loosen the nuts and scrape the paint off the frame to make sure proper contact. The Hi beam still doesn't work.
The shop manual read check the light green wire for open.
What green wire are they talking about?
What other things can I check for open/short circuit
Sounds like one bad light switch and a blown left high beam. If you have a meter you can check each filament in the bulb and the switch on the dash. Check the easy one first. Make sure the lamp is good. I don't have my schematics here but it could be, with one blown high beam filament , the indicator on the dash may see a small amount of current and dimmly light the indicator. I think the Haynes manual should have a generic ciruit diagram.
let us know how that goes. I have no hi beam on the passenger side right now and wen i click the hi beams on the drivers on comes on but not the passenger but the indicator light all the way up. When i click them off the low beams are fine but the indicator stays on. I have assumed this was an indicator to me that something was wrong and needs to be checked. I am assuming its just the bulb on my car. Too lazy to replace to date have to get to it soon.
