I've got that sticking feeling when opening the throttle. I'm going to remove the TB to clean it.
Who has the stuff?? The TB gasket, TB topplate gasket, the IAC gasket and the TB cleaner? I hate having to go to 2 or 3 places to get it all together.
Ideas?? I'm in Massachusetts.
Be careful with the gakets and reuse them, it will seal just fine. To heck with throttle body cleaner, that is for cleaning them without pulling it off, which does not work near as well. Get some B-12 and and old tooth brush, does a great job - $3.00...
I did this a few months ago. GM gas a gasket kit that includes the top cover gasket, and the IAC plate gasket. The TB to intake gasket is not included - you have to order it seperately (why they don't make an all-inclusive kit is beyond my comprehension). The GM prices are a rip-off, so if you can get FelPro gaskets, you'll save a bunch.
PS the IAC had an o-ring which I cleaned, greased and resued.
Yep, got the entire gasket set including top, bottom, back and IAC gasket from Autozone for $4.95. So I went ahead and did the whole thing. A tooth brush and a can or two of TB Cleaner, not carb cleaner.
Also, squirt a little WD-40 in the throttle plate bushings after you are done. The TB Cleaner can wash a little grime into them and that will ensure it is free. Then adjust your TPS and Base Idle per the tech tips in the forum and you are all set!
